Thymosin Alpha-1 is a 28-amino-acid peptide originally isolated from the thymus gland, approved in over 35 countries as an immunomodulatory research compound. Published peer-reviewed research has investigated its alleged role in T-cell maturation, modulation of innate and adaptive immunity, antiviral activity in hepatitis B/C studies and adjunctive cancer immunotherapy research.
