Proteus® ("we", "us", "our") is a UK-based supplier of research peptide compounds. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal data when you use proteuspeptides.com.
1. Data we collect
When you place an order or create a wholesale account, we collect: your name, email address, billing & shipping address, phone number, and (for trade accounts) business details. We do not store full card numbers — payments are processed by Stripe, who hold all card data on their PCI-DSS infrastructure.
2. How we use it
- To process and ship your orders.
- To send order confirmations, dispatch notifications and customer-service emails.
- To verify wholesale account applications.
- To comply with UK record-keeping and tax obligations.
- With your consent, to send occasional product updates (you can unsubscribe at any time).
3. Sharing
We share data only with the providers required to run the business: Stripe (payments), our courier partners (shipping), and our email infrastructure provider. We never sell your data.
4. Your rights (UK GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, port or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. Contact us at hello@proteuspeptides.com to exercise any of these rights. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
5. Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies (cart, login session). We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising cookies.
6. Retention
Order records are retained for 6 years to satisfy HMRC requirements. Account data is retained while your account is active and for 12 months after closure.
